International Mapping is proud to announce that it has acquired American Custom Maps, located in Albuquerque, NM.
Bruce Daniel, the President of American Custom Maps (ACM), founded the firm in 1989 to serve the mapping needs for a number of specialty niches. These markets included museum catalogue and display maps, public transit and bicycle maps, recreation and visitor maps, event maps, and special-use maps.  Some of ACM’s clients include the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games, the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the National Gallery of Art.
Over the past year, ACM has worked closely with International Mapping on a number of international boundary cases, a core area of our business. During this time we have leveraged ACM design and terrain modeling capabilities to enhance the appearance and clarity of their map presentations for several boundary dispute cases that will soon be litigated before the International Court of Justice.
As a result of this acquisition, International Mapping broadens its capabilities in the areas of map design, scripting and constructing map or graphic animations and in creating 3D digital elevation models (DEMs). As the newest member of our production team, Bruce Daniel will assume the role of Director of Design and Multimedia Production.
