International Mapping Receives Cartographic Contract from U.S. Forest Service
International Mapping is pleased to announce that it has received a five-year cartographic services contract from the United States Forest Service. We will provide map design, research, compilation and production services necessary to create Forest Service and BLM Visitor/Recreation maps, Wilderness maps, Special Area maps, and Special Use maps for multiple resource management. Projects will require International Mapping to utilize advanced cartographic and geographic information techniques to produce new map products and to update existing products.
The Forest Service contract is a five-year, Indefinite-Quantity Contract for Professional Cartographic Services at all nine Forest Service regional offices across the United States and at the Oregon State Office of the Bureau of Land Management. This Forest Service contract builds on our work in public lands mapping for the National Park Service and many federal, state, and local government customers.

International Mapping Featured in Illustrator Illuminated
International Mapping is pleased to announce that the latest book in the Adobe Master Class series, Illustrated Illuminated, will feature a chapter written by our own Bruce Daniel.
Peach Pit Press, known for their publications on graphic design and desktop publishing, worked with over fifteen different experts to produce Illustrator Illuminated. Bruce Daniel, International Mapping’s Director of Design, was invited to contribute the chapter focusing on cartographic uses of graphic software.
“Authors Barb Obermeier and Ted Padova are able to reveal both artist and software through an understanding of artistic process and technical implementation,” said Daniel. Peach Pit writers add, “It takes more than great software to make great artwork. It also requires a talented artist.”
